Shop till we drop!

Who on earth said shopping was fun? Everyone obviously thinks women love it, well 5 of us girls went shopping for most of the day yesterday and we were all wiped before we even got home!

We caught the metro yesterday, kids loved it! We missed the first one though, since my mom left the tickets on the shop counter where she bought them, we thought it funny, she did not!

Shopping centers here are great, they are huge, all indoors (air conditioned), usually have a small park for the kids to play in and have a huge food court with loads of choice so everyone can pick whatever they want to eat! The kids had fun at the indoor park, see photos, then we went to have lunch. I had a nice steak, rice, egg and salad lunch, just under 10€ for 2 of those lunches plus a drink, bargain!! After all our eating and the obligatory coffee - my caffeine habit is very much satisfied while here :) - we headed round the shops to find clothes for my 10 year old.  Spent just under 40€ on 7 outfits in the sale, bargain! 

Today is chill day, needing to recover from all that shopping! :)

Changes all round!

Well Wednesday was a day of changes. It was fun and scary all at the same time, but good! We spent the whole afternoon at the hairdresser getting drastic haircuts, colour & basically just getting pampered.

In the evening a trip to a nearby shopping centre to get my 10 year old's ears pierced. Completely her decision, however when it came to having them done she cried and cried, but still had them done and is now very happy with them! The dramas of growing up...  Top tip: Ice-cream always helps :)

Beach day!

 Sun, sea & sand, lots of sand, yesterday! Sand in all kinds of places, not pleasant but the kids had great fun digging, running in the water, being outdoors! I also got an umbrella "bruise" due to umbrella deciding to blow away & then hitting me in the back first, not nice :(

Visited my lovely auntie too, nice to see cousins and all the family, can't wait for our picnic on Sunday.
Not much more done due to a lot of very tired girls and I think the travelling catching up with us eventually!

Today is haircut day though, some crazy changes coming so watch this space!  In the meantime, enjoy today's pictures.

We are here!!

We arrived to a round of applause from the front of the plane, I think they were just glad we all arrived alive! Then a fanfair from the overhead speakers to which my 5 year old said "that wasn't necessary was it" No sweetie, you are right! Five year olds, smart aren't they?
Family were very excited to see us and we set off to see their new house! It is a huge 3 bed house with loads of space for the kids to play, a lovely view out the back and a cat to boot! (well not litterally, lol)
Bed time was a very late 1am, which then included getting woke up at 2am, crying child with nightmare and again at 3am, child that couldn't breath due to whooping/allergy cough. Almost thought we needed a hospital, but by 3:40 all was calm and quiet again!
Monday was quiet really, LOVELY roast pork dinner, with crackling and cauliflower with cheese sauce, roast potatoes, etc, very yummy!  After that, all us girls - 5 to be exact - took off shoe shopping and only arrived back after 7pm. 5 pairs of shoes, 3 handbags, 2 hats, one watch, underwear (shhhh) and a lighter purse later and all much more tired!  Too much food eaten today, another late night but a smile on my face!
